The big down side is that this publication does not include illustrations, so while you are working on the project you can only see the final product in your mind's eye. If you are an experienced knitter you can envision it, otherwise it is a surprise. I knit for relaxation, so in some way I enjoyed being surprised by the final result - kind of like a mystery quilt! If you enjoy knitting and not trying to accomplish a very specific patent, you will find following these instructions easy and be pleasantly surprised by what you created. I like these old patents and having this tangible connection to the past.Ali Julia review
