My grandson and I have been looking on Amazon for a project that we can do together and he found this book on knitting socks. I wasn’s so sure at first if a 10 year old boy would be able to catch on to something this complicated, Lord knows I was never able to from websites, magazines or other books but I have been so pleasantly surpised at how easy this book makes it to learn.I was a little worried at first that I would not be able to find the right stuff like is mentioned in the book, I had that problem once before when I was trying to learn how to knit, but it is so well explained that we brought the book to the store with us and just by following the easy to understand list’s and details of the stuff needed, we found just what we needed for our project. As a matter of fact, one of the things my grandson and I like most about this book is the details on everything you need to start knitting socks is easily explained, detailed and laid out in the book so it takes all the guess work out. I have never seen such an easy book on knitting to follow. The diagrams and details in this book on things like holding the needle, patterns and everything we needed are so easy that we figured out how to get stated in a few minutes then we just stated following page by page. This is the kind of book I have needed all this time, idiot proof. Who knew there were so many different kinds of stitches like circular and flat and such?It gave us an easy sock pattern to follow, showed us how to change colors so we can have multiple colored socks, that is my grandsons favorite part. It has helped us actually make our own pair of socks to fit our feet, not like the socks in the stores. You know, one size?
